Another ancient member of the tour, Rob is best remembered for his achievements off the course. However he has received several Smiles Better awards for such activities as assaulting a palm tree with an eight-iron, and less discerning golfers have confused his power-fade with a slice.
OVGS Thoughts... "Always the first date in the diary for the next year, but always the worry about it clashing with my wedding anniversary. 24 out of 25 I have been able to get away with it."
Memorable moment... "Many, including the tense golf in both the last and first groups for the final rounds. More nervous in the playoff for the wooden tee. Being there for Rick’s hole in one in 2019. It’s taken a long time for one to be recorded; he would agree that maybe not from the best golfer on tour but a stalwart."
