Another popular and long-standing member of the tour, Phil has studied the theory of golf relentlessly – he’d fly through a theory test. However he takes a biblical approach on the course in that his left hand doesn’t know what his right hand is doing. His spour teaches hit the bunny phone.
OVGS Thoughts... "Despite only meeting up once a year I am immediately back among good friends and we all just carry on from where we left off. I like the fact that I have no idea what most OVGSers do in their working lives — that just doesn’t seem to matter. I love the barracking, the cut and thrust of trying to avoid the wooden tee and the fact that we always eat and drink so well."
Memorable moment... "So many, including chucking Andrew in the pool at les Ormes. Watching Chris Castle sink a winning birdie on the 18th in 2006, being slashed three shots for scoring five points on one hole, Mark Jackson throwing his club out of bounds. Seeing Tom Bruce-Mitford take a ‘Happy Gilmour’ run-up drive, not to mention the “far too good a golfer” episode... I said not to mention!"
