Gareth puts the golf into OVGS. The only member to have played a scratch round, and to have won the event with a less than scratch handicap. He hits a golf ball like a bottle of Rosé – hard.
OVGS Thoughts... "The OVGS to me is immediately forgettable golf, played with unforgettable lifelong friends played under the ultimate secret regime that is “the handicap committee”."
Memorable moment... "Mike Bruce-Mitford forgetting to put a basket under the range dispenser in Austria, which was located at the top of a hill. The ensuing panic rendered it a classic."
